- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 12 bay leaves
- 1 small onion (diced and yellow onion preferably)
- 1 ½ teaspoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 green bell pepper
- 3 cups water
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Rinse the beans, and drain the water.
- Pour another water and remove whatever dirt, pod, or bad beans.
- Power up the instant pot, and set it to SAUTE. Add the olive oil, and allow to

- Add bell pepper, salt, and onion, and cook for about 5 minutes or till they soften
- Add the oregano, bay leaves, cumin, and garlic, stir well, and allow to cook for about 45 seconds.
- Add water to the pot, and pour in the beans. Cover the seal, and cook on HIGH pressure for another 35 minutes.
- When the timer goes off, release the steam naturally for another 20 minutes.
- Remove the lid, remove them and trash the bay leaves.
